OUR VISION AND MISSION

Neighborhood Church Okinawa, established in 1957 by the Assemblies of God, is dedicated to meeting the spiritual needs of American service members stationed in Okinawa. Our vision is to connect people to Jesus and one another, embracing the mission of the Gospel, equipping the saints for the battle, and engaging the unchurched. We strive to create an atmosphere where individuals are free to worship and find answers to life’s questions through the Bible.

Understanding the unique struggles of military personnel, we feel a deep burden to reach out with the love of Jesus. With the challenges of high divorce rates, frequent deployments, and the effects of PTSD and traumatic injuries, the need for support and spiritual guidance in the military community is more pressing than ever. Our mission is to ensure that those who serve our country do not miss out on the hope and salvation available to them.
