It is our goal to provide an atmosphere where you are free to worship the Lord Jesus Christ and to seek the answers to life’s greatest questions in His Word, the Bible. Neighborhood Church Okinawa is an International Christian Assembly that was established by the Assemblies of God in 1957 to meet the spiritual needs of the American service members stationed in Okinawa. There are unique struggles that the men and women of our Armed Forces go through. God has put a burden in our hearts to reach out to them with the love of Jesus. It would be a sad injustice to those who put their lives on the line for us every day to lose out on salvation because we, the church, neglected them. With the divorce rate in the military well above the national average, deployments getting longer and more frequent, families dealing with the effects of PTSD and traumatic injuries the need for military ministries is all the more vital.
